DCA and 3M have won one of this year’s prestigious red dot awards for the recently launched Versaflo S-655 Premium Hood (PDF), which is part of 3M's new revolutionary personal protection headcover and hood range. The international jury selected this innovative new personal protection hood from a field of 4,252 entries drawn from 57 countries.
The S-655 Premium Hood contains numerous functional, usability and visual innovations and has four patent applications pending. It forms part of the new S-series headcover range, for which DCA was 3M’s key development partner. Des Curran, Senior Specialist and Project Manager at 3M, commented, 'We are delighted by this award. By listening to our users and thoroughly understanding their needs, we have been able to develop a revolutionary personal protection headcover that combines class leading functionality with user-focused ergonomics and styling. As a result, users see the new hood as an enabler that helps them work more easily, more safely and in more comfort.'
