DCA was recently invited to deliver a STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) talk at Princethorpe College. Over 80 pupils and staff across the Science, Maths and Design departments joined Aled James and Peter Kay in the College’s Clarkson Theatre for the lunchtime talk. Aled and Peter each described the very different career paths that had led them from their early education through University and on to arrive at different roles in the same Product Design and Engineering consultancy.
Peter Kay said “the pupils and staff were very engaged throughout the talk and were clearly amazed at the wide range of different projects we get involved in. They took great interest in looking at the product samples we took along, and asked insightful questions about the role of design in the product development process. I particularly enjoyed the questions about who were the designers who most inspired us and what were our favourite projects to have worked on!”.
