The editorial, written by Ian Walmsley - a rolling stock expert recently retired from Porterbrook Leasing, provides a detailed review of the interior design of the new IEP Class 800 train. After visiting the full scale mock up at our Warwick premises to experience DCA’s design at first hand, Ian speaks frankly and positively in the article about the design of the interior in the context of the overall IEP contract. He particularly focuses on the vestibules and doors, the lighting arrangement, driver’s cab and 1st and Standard Class seating. He is “delighted to announce a massive step forward, a breaking of convention” when writing about the new interior of the train. The article also features a number of photographs and images showing the different design elements of the interior of the train.
